Youth Peace Ambassadors Network

Peace Building & Governance

Training young leaders as peace ambassadors to promote dialogue, conflict resolution, and civic engagement in post-conflict communities.

About the Network

In communities recovering from decades of conflict in Northern Uganda, young people play a crucial role in sustaining peace. The Youth Peace Ambassadors Network trains and empowers youth leaders to serve as catalysts for peaceful coexistence and civic participation.

Program Elements

  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills training
  • Community dialogue facilitation workshops
  • Civic education and voter awareness campaigns
  • Inter-ethnic and inter-faith youth exchange programs
  • Peace-building through sports and arts initiatives

The network now has 120 active peace ambassadors across six districts who regularly facilitate community dialogues, mediate local disputes, and lead civic engagement activities, contributing to a measurable reduction in community-level conflicts.
